My kitten is about 10 months old.
She never has done the typical "heat ritual".
It is normal for her to meow frequently, she's a big talker.
But 2 1/2 days ago, she disappeared outside and came back last night.
She hardly ever leaves my side, other than to go outside to use the bathroom, then right back to my lap she goes.
but now she won't leave me alone, and she is being very very affectionate..
She is very very petite, and I'm worried she might die if she's pregnant..
COULD she be pregnant?
and how will I know?
Is it okay for cats to have normal pregnancies at 10 months of age and being a runt?
What can I do to help????
and should I keep her inside during her pregnancy?

help is much appreciated.

her being a runt is no worry my mother cat was the runt of her litter. she could be pregnant and that is okay. since this would be her first pregnancy i'd keep an eye on her. mine didn't know what to do after she had her kittens. if she wants to go outside and she has been doing this before chances are she'll be fine. if she doesn't want to leave you that's fine to because she needs you. what you can do to help her is set up a warm and quiet spot for her to go to have her kittens. you may want to be there when she does have them just in case she doesn't know what to do. you will be able to see each contraction.

Many years ago I had a kitten and was waiting till it was 6 months old to get her fixed. At five months old we discovered she was pregnant when we found her giving birth to kittens. So at 10 months it is very possible for you cat to be pregnant. If you are concerned take her to a vet and get her checked out.

get her spayed, they can do it even if pregnant. Cats can get pregnant as early as 5-6 months of age, she should have been spayed months ago.
