We have already lost a lot of animals and plants since man stepped on earth. But I think that it is our duty to conserve our present wildlife so that it wouldn't become extinct. If we are to deplete our natural flora and fauna in this rate,I think that the people of next generations must view them in pictures.

Let me start with some considerations, and I promise I'll provide a more direct answer later.
There are different definitions for conservation-related concepts.
Some people confuse "conservation" with "preservation". The latter is often used to define the practice of keeping a portion of natural environment 'just as it is', which is quite difficult, except maybe for very remote, very sparsely inhabited regions.

Conservation involves much more, because human populations are considered in the context of the ecosystems they belong to, and thus, human use/exploitation of living and non-living resources is contemplated.
That's where the concept of 'sustainable use' comes in. Resource management must take into account ecological, economic and social aspects; this means accepting input from different disciplines (biology, sociology, economics, anthropology...). And like you said, there's an ethical value to biodiversity, as well as more tangible ecological/economical values to consider.

Now, there are 2 basic approaches for maintenance of stocks of living organisms: 'ex situ' (=out of place), for instance: zoos, botanical gardens, seed banks, cell and tissue cultures, etc), and 'in situ' (=in place), namely protected areas of diverse kind.
These two basic types encompass the methods we have to conserve biodiversity. Both have advantages and drawbacks.

Thus, my view is that we should use all the tools for conservation that already exist, as well as keep developing new ones, to achieve a balance between preservation and the rational, long-term use of natural resources, because the fact is that human populations cannot subsist without exploiting other species.
I don't trust apparently simple 'solutions'; for instance, it's easy to say that Area So-and-So should be preserved, or that Species X must not be hunted... but the local people from So-and-So will need food and money, and illegal commerce will drive Species X to extinction if the local authorities don't have the means to act.

Long-term conservation requires lots of research, both basic and applied, and research requires money. So the best we can do is learn and stay informed, and let our politicians and decision-makers know that we care and we're watching, and that we want them to make intelligent decisions, even if they seem unpopular.

Conservation Of Flora And Fauna

Flora is basically the plant life that is present in a particular region or habitat or at a particular time and fauna is the animal life that is present in a particular region or habitat or at a particular time. Biodiversity is a very large topic and somewhat difficult to define adequately in only a sentence or two. In the very simplest terms, "biodiversity" means the diversity of life on our planet, which includes genetic diversity, species diversity, and habitat diversity. Diversity can be defined as the number of different items and their relative frequency. For biological diversity, these items are organized at many levels, ranging from complete ecosystems to the chemical structures that are the molecular basis of heredity. Thus, the term encompasses different ecosystems, species, genes, and their relative abundance." The area of flora, fauna and biodiversity is quite interrelated. Flora and fauna forms a major part of biodiversity.
India is a land of varied flora, fauna and biodiversity. India is one of the twelve mega-diverse nations of the World. Two of India's great mountain ranges, the Eastern Himalayas and the Western Ghats have been designated among the world's eighteen 'hotspots' of biodiversity. But In the last few decades we have seen a steady increase in the extinction rate of flora, fauna etc. all over world including India and so now, conservation of biological diversity is of paramount importance to the survival of man. Conservation of biological diversity leads to conservation of essential ecological diversity to preserve the continuity of food chains. The genetic diversity of plants and animals is preserved. It ensures the sustainable utilization of life support systems on earth. It provides a vast knowledge of potential use to the scientific community. A reservoir of wild animals and plants is preserved, thus enabling them to be introduced, if need be, in the surrounding areas. Biological diversity provides immediate benefits to the society such as recreation and tourism. Biodiversity conservation serves as an insurance policy for the future.

The flora and fauna problem falls in with many other consequences of global warming. I don't know of any direct ways to preserve them but I am very passionate about changing the planet to save it from global warming. The drastic measures that my familly are taking isn't enough but we hope to get the message out so that others might follow our lead.

If you haven't seen it I suggest the inconvient truth by Al Gore he speaks about the flora and what we can do for it.

Conservation of natural resources is a very important issue and it includes flora and fauna baoth. With the kind of biotic pressure we humans are putting on our natural resources soon we will loose all of it. Even today we donot know what these forests and wildlife have in store for us but we are destructing them.

We need to educate people and try not to cut down forests and kill wildlife. As someone said earlier there are two kinds of conservation exstiu and instiu but when we talk about saving ad conservation exstiu we forget that even today we donot have enough knowledge of all species and forests but when we talk about insitu we know that with time we will come to know about all secrets but for that we certainly need to save everything as it is.

So the conclusion is certainly to save our natural heritage as it is and save our environment and also Gods beautiful creations. But, the question is how to?

We need to take steps to go in for more sustainable way of living. Stop cutting trees and save our forest land. This is also important for pure air and pure water security. Reuse things donot waste. Save energy and use least possible fossile fuel.
