Well, lemon juice applied and then lay out in the sun or the tanning bed, or lemon juice and iodine and lay out in either. !!!!!..-and it might go a slight reddish tint on dark brown shades of hair though ....not completely blonde though.....!!!!!

Wash your hair well, and towel dry it; mix equal parts lemon juice and conditioner, and put it wherever you want highlights. Sit in direct, strong sunlight for a few hours, and then wash the stuff out. Also, you can try rinsing your hair with strong chamomile tea at some point. It's not as effective or dramatic as bleach by a long shot, but it should lighten you up a little!

You neglected to tell me about your natural hair color. Are you light brown? Or do you have thick, black hair? If you have very light brown hair, you can get blonde highlights by squeezing fresh lemon juice in your hair, then laying in the sun. Products like "Sun In" give slightly more dramatic highlights, as do "blonding" formulas in the hair color isle of your local pharmacy.
However, if you have very dark hair, you will not be able to achieve true blonde results without a visit to a salon, where the color will have to be stripped from your hair in order to lighten it without those ugly, brassy colors. If you want to go blonde, I recommend seeing a professional, because NOTHING looks tackier than a bad bleach job.
