for the past week i've been watching different news, and talk shows, with nothing but black america fuming over this word. Now they are saying the word is being used as a slap in the face of their race because its an insult! I watch alot of college and pro sports, hear alot of rap and hip hop artist, and for most part they aren't ARTICULATE. Especially the ones with a 4 year degree from college, being interviewed, talking dis and dat, wassup, yo yo yo, what it is, chissel with my sizzle, Ebonics isnt an ARTICULATE language! Its a lazy approach to the english language, and it really makes them sound ignorant! They're doing their best to divide the country....Maybe they need to look who's actually supporting their cause, and affording them their big salaries. Or better yet look up the definition of the word?? There is not one instance referring the use of the word as a derogatory term! GET OVER IT WHINNERS!

The complaint you've been listening to over the last week is that a remark was made about Barak Obama, and the way the remark came out it came across as if the speaker was saying "This is the first Black candidate to come along who is articulate, clean....etc."

People weren't angry that Barak Obama was called "articulate". They were angry that someone said he was the first Black person to come along who IS!! And mentioning "clean" along with it didn't help!!

The remark, as far as I could tell, just came out wrong and wasn't intended as it came out; but that's what the uproar was about in view of the fact that it came from a guy who was announcing his run for the presidency.

While you've made a statement, I fail to identify your question. Not very articulate I'd say.
