I am a Pagan, and it says a lot about your character that you care enough to pray for people that probably don't like you BECAUSE you want to pray for them. I honestly do appreciate your concern (although misplaced) and it truly shows that there are many Christians that actually follow the teachings of Jesus in some capacity at least. I follow many of his teachings and incorporate them into my belief system, but I do not view him as any more than a gifted and evolved man who tried to better the world by teaching tolerance. As far as the Jewish/Muslim/Christian god is concerned (they're all the same guy) I don't like him, because he's a bully, and I refuse to include him as one of the deities with whom I commune. Lets face it, there's enough strife and disharmony in the world, why would I want to make it worse by communing with a god who condones war, murder and blood sacrifice as a way to solve a problem or "purify" a situation. If you don't believe me, then read the bible; I've read it all the way through, TWICE. If I really wanted to revere a god of war, there are plenty of other war gods out there who are willing to play nice and let you believe in other gods, besides just themselves. I must say that of all the war gods one could choose from, yours is of a particularly nasty variety. Sorry.
Oh, one more thing, I am just wondering how you would feel about me praying that you decide to stop believing in your VERY SCARY war god and start believing in my very peaceful Earth Goddess. Does it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside that a Pagan is praying to her Goddess that you forsake your God and belief system and become a Pagan like me? Well, don't worry too much about it, since I have too much respect for your right to choose your own path to send that kind of interfering and disrespectful energy your way. Good luck with that "loving" god you got there and enjoy!

Aha! And since you can't actually see if it does anything or not, you can just convince yourself your prayers actually did something regardless of whether or not they affected anything at all. Wow. That's depressing.
Oh, but I forgot, this isn't actually about prayer, it's about getting mindless agreement and praise from people who share your religion already.
Even more amusing are all the people downvoting the answerers who don't mindlessly agree. Keep it up! Maybe giving their questions a thumbs-down will make them suddenly realize your religion is the ONE TRUE WAY!

Forget praying. Why not just show us some evidence that your religion is the right one? You'd see better results if you could do that.

You'd better be careful. One study showed that sick patient who were prayed for actually did worse than those who were not prayed for. There might be more unbelievers after your prayer tonight.
