I read on magazines that even with stars they work out about 5 days a week max. I have been struggling with weight for awhile now and i have tried many things. Now i am on this 7 days a week workout. Is that too much for my body to handle? or is that ok? when will i see results?

A lot of these magazines don't tell you if the "stars" do weights one day, cardio the next, back to weights then cardio again the following day. Many "stars" are in the hands of professionals who know and will limit what they are doing so doing weights 7 days will be OK for them and many will also train their client to train a different muscle group everyday, meaning less fatigue and exhertion on the body.

7 days is not too much at all - it's good you have the dedication but you need to watch what you do each time. You will need to weights every other day mind you though, as when you lift and push weights, you are actually ripping your muscles. These muscles repair when you rest and better when eat protein.

This is why I recommend talking through your goals with a personal trainer and your GP. Your GP will guide you in the right direction as to how much weight you need to lose/gain. Your personal trainer will bear in mind all this and give you a programme which you can adhere to alone or even give you the motivation you might need if you feel you can't do it alone.

Your programme must be changed or adapted every 6 weeks, as your body becomes used to the programme and will reach and sit at a plateau meaning you won't see results as easily and it will take longer. By varying it as well, you get more enjoyment out of using different machines and doing your old favourites a whole new way.

Diet can also help. By this I mean, if your calorie input is bigger than your exercise output, you will not see results. By exercising and altering your diet, and by not necessarily cutting things out completely, because then you are likely to reach for your forbidden item meaning you feel bad when you do tuck into it, you will see results a lot easier. Please bear in mind that muscle is 4x times heavier than fat, so look for changes in areas like your chest, hips, waist, thighs, arms, etc.

TOO MUCH!

Your body needs a day between weight workouts to rebuild the muscle you have stressed. On your "off" days you could still do something mildly aerobic but skip anything stressful or that involves lifting weights.

I would at least take a few days off. If your weight lifting(which would help to lose weight since muscle burns calories, fat doesn't), I would do aerobics five days a week and weight lifting on Monday Wednesday and Friday. And yes give you body time to recoup.
If you torture yourself, I would think that you may not end up sticking with it. Try and enjoy yourself and your more likely to stick with it.

Quite a while back, I was a fitness instructor. Things may have changed. You can work on different muscles every day, but not two days in a row. Like maybe do situps one day and push ups the next.

That's too much. Experts advise to take at least one day or two days off your exercise routine, because your muscles need a break and the time to adjust to changes brought about by exercise. And keeping your routine to five days a week makes it easier to stick with it.

Depends on how long you are working out for, but 6 days is definitely enough.
