I just took out my hair extensions(human hair) using metal clips. However, I find that my hair now is much lesser and shorter. Is it due to the removal process? And when i had the extensions on, my scalp is very itchy, why isit so?

Yes, extensions can cause hair loss, they cause stress on the hair by pulling, the added weight weakens the hair. When I want a different look for my hair I wear a wig with a fitted satin cap underneath, I suffer no hair loss.

I just started wearing weave,You know it's going to itch anyway,Spray oil sheen on it.When you put weave in you can sew it in that's better. What I've found is it's going to take your hair out a little anyway. But I know you like how it looks when you put the hair in.Try to condition it.This will make a big difference.Happy Sewing.

do u have the fusion or the weaves? i've had both, and my hair seems fine.
your scalp might be itchy because of not shampooing it well enough in that area. try to get as close to the scalp of where the extension is to have thorough cleanse.

I think when you put the glue in and then you could loss the hair......This is what my girl friend is telling me,......she also said to get ahold of the person that put them in as you could be allergic to the glue.
