I had a guy drive 4hrs to meet me on the weekend after I chatted to him casually for a few months online. We really had a great date that night together, had a lovely dinner and very easy conversation, lots of laughing. We held hands and cuddled and kissed but no more than that even though it was tempting I held back. Next day he text me and said he had a great night and couldnt believe what a great time we had and that I am cute and funny and thanked me...and that was that....I havnt heard again from him by phone, only seen him once online and he was his usual friendly self but nothing else mentioned........its been 5 days later now.....would I be right in just assuming it was a fun night out and chalk it up at that....I think a guy would usually make some more direct contact by now if was interested..Do u agree?

Sounds like he's 'casually' interested in you.

I would chalk it up to a great night. Continue to chat casually online if you see one another. If he wants you, he'll start doing things to show it. But, it sounds like it was just a curiousity drive to me.

He liked the way you typed, and wanted to learn more. He's met you in person and you've hung out... Now, he feels like he found out what he wanted to know. If he couldn't sleep after he left you, you'd have heard from him in person or via phone call. Not text, IM, or Email.

Yes, I agree with you. If he was really interested he would have called you the next day instead of SMS. That could be, because you didn't 'do' it, he probably assumed that you're not that interested in him?

I agree-
I think you are very perceptive.
View it as having had a great time-
and just move on from there.

No i don't agree - maybe he was waiting to hear what your thinking. The guy drive 4 hr to catch up with you, from that i think you can say he is into you. IF you want something to happen .... make it happen.
