21 years ago! My dad remains a pastor and still propagates the fable that is the Christian faith. After reading all the horrible tales of the despicable god of the Bible - stories of war, bloodshed, murder, rape, human sacrifice, virgin-sharing, injustices, extermination of whole races etc all by the express command of the cruel and vindictive blood-demanding god of the Bible, it became impossible for me to remain a Christian or bow down in worship before such a god! It is perennial fear that bends the knee of people before the bloody altar of such personification of vice -- a fact which is a sad commentary on our reasoning faculty!

When I was 14. I thought it was kind of odd that an all loving all merciful God would rip open pregnant women and praise the dashing of babies heads against rocks. So, I left. I also found it very disgusting that the bible advocated abortion forced by a woman being made to drink a "vile substance" when being accused of adultery by her husband.

It always amazes me how many people of ALL religions (or lacks thereof) post questions with the sole purpose of attracting people who already agree with them in order to get compliments and stars and such. Then they inevitably give the Best Answer to whoever brown-nosed the most efficiently. If you're so insecure in your non-Christianity (atheism, I assume, but perhaps wrongly) that you need a bunch of anonymous strangers to slobber on you, go get a subscription to the Skeptical Enquirer or something until you can feel safe in your convictions.

It was a time when I was at conflict with myself, the inner conflict made me see; it made me realize it was time to see the bigger picture. Once the Baptist church entered my life I knew it was time to come home. Ever since that day I have been getting closer to my savior.

When I was 16 years old I came to the conclusion that Christianity is a mediocre idea gone horribly, horribly wrong. Many of its fundamental teachings striked me as innately harmful and damaging; its followers tend to be close-minded and bigoted; and its theology is flawed. To be fair, it shares several of these qualities with other monotheistic religions. Also to be fair, as people will no doubt race to inform me, Christianity does have adherents who aren't quite as warped as their religion tends to be. However, in general, I found Christianity to be severely lacking in its spirituality, social, and ethical teachings; and Christians to be largely arrogant and rude. I could not in good conscience remain a Christian.

You don't know how to eat the young coconut. you must have tools and technique to open and find the tasty part. don't be disappointed easily and get wrong when you can not find the fine parts. use your brain. no need to throw the coconut because your teeth are not strong enough to bite. must know that you don't have to bite.
