Allergies to Tomatoes?

Question

Does anyone else have an allergy to tomatoes? I am allergice to any form of them and tomato concentrates are the worst. They give me a runny nose, lots of phlegm and a bad cough. My dad has the same allergic reactions to Potatoes (and both foods are from the same family). Does anyone else have an allergy like this and/or know a cure? Thank you.

Ok... allergies is a problem,but it is manageable...u should do skin scratch test done by allergologist and know whiat kind of u have and what stage... temporariry u can overcome with allergy with anti-histamine medicines....in which u can save from ur sign and symptoms....medicines are- avil, cetrizine ..etc depending what u r provided in ur country......if u want homeopathic medicine....don't listen any kind of expensive medicines...but u please take a glass of warm milk+half Tsp of turmeric...drink daily before sleeping...it is anti allergic..u do this and i assure you..ur allergy will go in 1-2 months.... best of luck and be happy.

there is a test called the scratch test wherein the doc specifically an allergologist doctor will scratch several things on the skin and it will determine food, medication and all allergies. it really helps for allergic persons. then he will give a maintainance medication that to take in case any allergic reaction will arise. :-) allergies could be dangerous but they are very manageable once you know what you are allergic too. :-) God bless you. your baby should get this test. it's usually available on with an allergologist doctor and in some hospitals too.

I thought I was allergies to tomatoes but I only brake out in hives.
