Jump rope and lots of determination. It only cost a few bucks. Losing weight is about reducing calorie intake and burning calories with high energy workouts. There is no such thing as a magic machine or magic pill (not yet anyway).
Good luck. Get a jump rope, play some good music to jump to, jump for an hour a day and watch what you eat and I 100% guarantee you will lose weight!

Forget the treadmill the eliptical machine burns twice as many calories in the same amount of time. It's best to use a heart rate monitor to make sure you are getting the most out of your time.I have a polar one you wear a band around your chest and it is able to read on any polar machine.

Definitely the elliptical cross trainer. I have back & knee problems but I am still able to train an hour on the cross trainer & feel no uncomfortable impact, its fantastic! It burns loads of calories but is easy to do & you don't feel exhausted after your session. You also get to use the upper body with the moving handles. Definitely has been the answer for my losing weight while getting great legs ;)
Definitely worth the time & money!

The indoor rowing machine is a good alternative. The main concern should be finding something that will keep you motivated for years to come. For me, that piece of equipment has been the erg.

the best way to slim down and lose unwanted fat while toning muscle is without a doubt swimming. i don't mean swimming as in hanging out in the pool with your friends, i mean swimming laps. it works just about every muscle in your body, and it is a great aeorobic exercise. when those muscles are working you're burning calories and fat. you won't get big, but you will tone up.
