I imagine if he is running to get into the government, he would get in easily, because of his immense popularity. But at the same time, if Manny does get a position in the Phillipines government, you have to ask yourself how much time it would take away from his boxing.

If I were Manny Pacquiao, I would wait until after my career was finished. In my view, while he is still boxing, this could potentially prove a distraction.

Hi. I'm Cj, I'm from the Philippines myself. I am telling you that they are only rumors. He is only being dragged by some politicians to run for office so that they could use his popularity in their respective campaigns. This has been rumored because it is now the election season here in the Philippines. I personally doubt that Manny will leave his luxurious boxing life with high paydays just to join the political turmoil here in the country.
Well, there you have it. I repeat, he is not running for public office.
