UH... Are you thirsty. You may just have dry mouth. I wouldn't thing being addicted to ice would be a bad thing...
If you are chewing it constantly you may eventually require dental work!

One word - two possibilities.
PICA - can mean that you are deficient in Zinc or Iron.
[Just because you take these doesnt mean that your body is able to use them. (For example, some intestinal troubles cause Iron not to absorb)]
Anyhow, Pica causes a person to crave ice like crazy.
You're doctor might look at you funny (its something that pediatricians see more often), but tell him to do the bloodwork.
Good Luck

when i quit smoking i craved ice.... it made my mouth feel really refreshed and i kind of liked the texture... in time i stopped craving it and now i rarely, if ever, take ice in my drinks...brrrr. now i really enjoy a drop of pure unadulterated peppermint oil in my water... it is also a 'cool' thing... very refreshing.

Well for my sister it meant a thyroid problem. I'd see a doctor and have him/her check you out.
