Success is situation-dependent, but for classroom pick-ups this is your best bet:

Step 1:You need to be the alpha male of the class. Make yourself the alpha male in the class by knowing more and being able to answer tougher questions with a witty edge.
Step 2: Unless the teacher is a total d-bag, try and chat him/her up once and awhile to build a little rapport. If the class leader is respected, then the class leader's approval of you will be broadly approved by the class and, moreover, by your love interest.
Step 3: If possible, try and leverage your rapport to joke around a little bit in class abd get away with things other people don't.
Step 4: You've now established your dominance. She respects you, isn't afraid for others to find out she respects you b/c they respect you too. She will now entertain your interests.

If you don't get the material or this is too labor-intensive, based on her interests, find some way to solicit her for something that is totally unrelated to class and is sexier than 'history' or whatever you two take together.

Whatever you do, DON'T ask her out on a date. Dating is too stressful for all parties. The request for a date, can cause knee jerk reactions where she'll back off even though she's kinda interested. Make up some situation that allows for a more casual encounter even if this encounter entails meeting with a couple more people that just her.

Don't think about it too much....it'll ruin it.

Just be yourself...try striking up a normal friendly conversation....if you plan it too much it'll be fake.

Just try asking her about her notes for one of the classes....that'll get you both into a discussion and then the conversation will hopefully flow from there.

Good luck :)

Well, the first step is to say hi. Even if you are stammering it is still a first step (and it is super cute). Then just ask her out. If she says no, don't be afraid to ask her again until she says yes.

Don't think too much. Approach her naturally and have a talk with her. You make her glad. You talk to her so funny. So she's gonna have good feeling with you.

She's probably wishing you would talk to her. Smile and say HI! Then babble on like you would to anyone else. She will be delighted.
