At our school, in year 7, you get a random classof streamed people [that means the "bright" people are together and so on]. I was put in a class with some really nice boys. [well, nice isn't the right word, more "eww gross" then you move tpward the "ohh, cute"]. but me just being me, ive become good friends with them. but lately [im in year 10 now] ive had a crush on this guy that was in my class. now i only have english and robotics with him, 'cause the classes are by preference. but instead of laughing and teasing me, he's started being really sweet, and helping me, when he usually whould have laughed. does this mean anything special? he wont sit next to me, but hes slowly been moving closer. in english today he was in the same row. what should i do? i still like him [not that anyone knows] and id realy like to go out with him. will he ask me? does he like me, or is he just being more civilised as he get older? is it just him growing up, or something more?

wen i was a kid, i used to tease girls loads and make fun of them and stuff. but as i got to 9th grade i started maturing a lil, not finding a reason to have done all that, and so did all my guy friends. that guy has just matured, he sounds just like me. hes probably not being sweet but being nice and just wants to be friends. but, y are you waiting for him to get closer. i always found it soo crazy y girls wont move on guys. u dont have to move on him if you dont want to but dont wait for him to sit next to you. he probably is the shy time that never had a date and has no experience. try and make an indirect move. you wont regret it!

mm good question. It sounds like he wants to get to know you better...whether or not he has a deep interest in you is another story. Speaking as a college-age girl, it's tough even now to figure out if the guy just wants to be friends with you or desires something more out of the friendship. My advice is to hang out with him more outside of class...go to a local sports event, play, etc. In this way, you get a chance to know more about him on a personal level without making him suspect that you like him. If it gets to a point where you ask a question about girls he likes and he gives you that special little grin, I think you're free to ask him out or you can wait for him to do it. Even if you don't end up going out, at least you made a great friendship that could be even more important than having a serious relationship right now...enjoy high school and good luck girl!

You have to ask yourself how long this friendly flirting has been going on. If it has been a few months, then he is just being nice. If he really likes you, then he will ask you out. Just be confident, sit back and relax. He will come to you. Good luck.

No, boys grow up suuuuppppperrrrr slllooooowwwwww...
I'm 98% positive that this boy likes you. Don't be afraid to let him know you like him back. Sometimes boys tease because they like you but when they find out that they aren't getting the kind of attention they want they will revert to sweetness.... it's so cute isn't it :) good luck with him!

You have been watching him grow and it is quite a sight to see. This will allow you interact with him in a non-threatening way. You need to get to know him a little better unless he has been harboring feeling for you as well. You may want to express your thanks when he helped you. Reading the actions of people unfortunately is a very inexact science.
