In 2 Thessalonians 2:5-8, Paul said that once the restrainer has been removed, then the Antichrist would be revealed. For some reason, Paul did not say what or who the restrainer was. What or who is this restrainer is?

It will be a very sad day and I know I will not be on earth when it takes place. I will be in heaven with the holy ghost because I'm saved, sanctified and filled with the holy ghost and that is the only way you will make it into heaven.Matter of fact it will be total chaos on earth. Just think about now all you hear about is evil, evil, evil and when the holy ghost leaves this earth it won't be nothing but killing, robbing, shooting, fighting, people being raped, etc. There will be nothing but violence on earth so please don't get left behind.

The removal of the restrianer, who is the Holy Spirit, will be the rapture of the church. That is when the Holy Spirit, who indwells each believer, will be removed from the earth. That is what Paul was refering to. Then after the rapture of the church, the Antichrist will come to power.
There will still be the 144,000 chosen ones left behind and they will convert many people.

"He who now letteth" is the Roman empire which withheld the Holy Roman empire, the son of perdition, from coming forth. What Paul was talking about in mysterious terms was the fact that now that Jerusalem had fallen the believers could see the power which was keeping the son of perdition from appearing. They knew the prophesies about the final world empire that would arise and that it wouldn't come until after Rome had fallen. They were looking at the Roman empire at the time and could see that it was not the one that would come. The Holy Spirit will be here on this earth as long as there are Christians and that will be until Jesus returns to judge the world in righteousness. The doctrine you are espousing is dispensationalism.

It will be a great harvest. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the pentecostal tongue, heard clearly in every language, will bring a great crowd out of Babylon, Babylon being the spiritual confusion of the worldwide religion of anti-christ. That will be the time to lift up your heads and take courage. Our Lord will arrive soon after the two witnesses are slain in Jerusalem.
Don't be harvested prematurely by the false christ.

5Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

More than likely angelic beings protecting his people. It says he will give the beast and associates authority for short period of time. We wont be eating much at this time and the capstone they will try to lower. The spirit of bondage in man.
