I think so b/c why would he create terrible creature like poisonous snakes, scorpion, spiders ... what about thousands of different sickness, fighting and wars that kills thousands of people. Okay, what about terrible natural disasters like hurricane, tsunami, earthquake, etc... that also kill thousands of people.
No one is spared, not even innocent little children who could be born with cancer and die at a very young age ??? doesn't matter if you are strong, rich, smart, etc.. you will be dealt with conflict, problems, suffering, frustration, pain, etc...

It just make it interesting for the "GOD" to watch us and have his/her laugh and amuse him/her self. Maybe there are more than one "GOD", maybe a group working together and having a blast watching us suffer.

Naw...that's just your theory. If he was so amused by our suffering, we'd all suffer all the time, don't you think? By & large, my life is pretty good. Maybe God just doesn't find me amusing enough and gave up on me.

God isn't the reason life sucks, your fellow human beings make that a reality. I'll bet you're more likely to get screwed over by someone you know before you get killed by a snake bite.

Get out of the bitter barn and go play in the hay already.

NO. I believe God desired self-expression and desired companionship; therefore, God projected the cosmos and souls. The pattern that God used to create souls was the pattern of God's own Spirit. The spirit is life. From the spirit, the mind builds patterns. From the mind, the physical creation is the result. This is how the spirit, the mind, and individuality, became the pattern for souls. This is how cause, action, and effect became the pattern for everything. First there was the spirit (the first cause); then there was the action which withdrew spirit into itself; then there was the resulting individuality of God.

The plan for the soul included experiencing of all creation, but it did not necessarily mean participating in all forms and substance. Nor did it mean that souls can interfere with the creation. Nor did it mean that souls are to spin their own little worlds, twisting and bending laws to make images of their dreams.

But these things could happen. The soul was the greatest thing that God made because it has free will. Once free will was given, God did nothing to curb it. However it acted, and thus the scenarios you describe began. All of the terrible things you describe were not a result of the imagination of God, but of mankind.

It does seem like it when you look at it from a human standpoint. All these terrible things did not start, though, until after Adam and Eve sinned. In the garden of eden there was peace between man and animals. When Satan tricked Eve into sinning he also raised a very important issue: that man does not need God to rule over them. Remember that the angelic creatures were made first and so were onlookers. God needed to prove since then beyond a shadow of a doubt that man cannot rule themselves--look at the evidence. However his plans have not changed just b/c man sinned. All through the gospels, Jesus preached about God's kingdom, which will soon be the government to rule mankind. It's all in the bible.

I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. yes alot of this stuff sucks, but without any adversity or loss we would never be challenged to think and persevere. I have personally learned that through tragedy comes wisdom that can be used to help people. As for God making us for his own amusement, i don't think so he made us to be a companion to him , and if you look at most of what is wrong with the world you will see it is a direct result of evil, selfish people.Snakes and natural disasters are a key role in maintaining the balance of nature and are not bad or ment specifically to harm us, they just happen. People pray to God all the time ask for help, and asking him to do things, we all love when he gives us what we want, but sometimes he says no, and that my friend is when begin to doubt his intentions for us, why are we so bad at taking no for answer , everything happens for a reason, yes even the bad things. I hope that something happens to give you a little more optimistic view on our world.... and i'll pray for you.

I'm sure that in scriptures we would know why there are animals like those you mentioned, before the fall of Adam man was in harmony with all the animals, and after-wards a curse came from God that put enmity between man and the animals, and he even curse the ground. I'm not sure, but I know to be alive is a gift, and to have the gift of choice shows that we have a GOD that seeks to let us choose him freely. But to not choose him is an insult, because you did not create yourself, therefore, if you don't choose, then you will be judged by his will. I see how it makes sense, why choose you live your life outside his will, when you got the bloodthirsty adversary that seeks to destroy you? I pray that the USA get with the program, Life isn't some joyride, it has definite PURPOSE. God created us as a GIFT to be alive. We should embrace it by embracing his son, and seeking to be healed.

That is a terribly perverse idea, from the corrupt mind of man (with encouragement from Satan).

You don't think there should be snakes and spiders? Goodness, what a "safe" and boring world you would have us live in.

The Bible says that God created us for His pleasure. That is not the kind of selfish, sensual pleasure we normally mean by that word nowadays. It means He created us to be His companions and friends in eternity, to learn the wonder of who He is and the immeasurable depth of His very Being, which is Love.

I do not believe God created mankind to watch us suffer and humiliate ourselves.. He died for OUR sins..!
God created us for us to prosper and to love Him.. He died for us, so we should try the best we can for ourselves and for him. God created Nature to help out mankind.. without nature we would have no oxygen, no water, no food.. think about it all our food comes from animals, plants, and seeds. They won't pollinate without bees, birds, and other insects.
As for the snakes, sharks and other "dangerous" animals, they usually aren't dangerous to humans unless provoked.. but they were put here to get rid of other animals that are more harmful to us than good.
It's all in the life cycle chain of command.. watch the Lion King if you want a kiddie version of the life-cycle.

God is good.. He means well, meant well and did well.
It's up to US to use our heads, hearts, minds, souls, compassion, common sense, love, strength, devotion, faith, and good will. Then you will succeed in life.
When in doubt and you need something to keep you going just think of this:
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." ( AA decided to use this during their meetings, but it has a great meaning and it does help when your feeling the pressures of life.)

"Our Father which art in Heaven hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptaion but deliver us from evil. Amen."

I hope you can look inside yourself and see that God is trying to help us, if it weren't for him we would never have been created and neither would have life.

God did create us but not to suffer. He gave us problems so we can ddeal with them because he is testing us. IM sorry that you think of God this way it's a huge sin. To me God is loving he solves my problems and helps me out so much. Keeps me safe and healthy. If you read the bible it says that before Jesus comes on earth there will be hurricanes etc... God can certanly help you if you ask him trust me. But please don't blame him for all of this.

You forgot to mention the other side where everyone also enjoys the beauty of God's Creation, the Happiness we feel the nature we enjoy. It's how you look at life.

Genesis 1:27-29
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so

God made us in his own image and it was His will that we would be happy. It was Satan and sin that brought trouble and heartache to the world.
