Okay, first of all is my original assumption right that if you don;t accept Jesus you go to hell? Also, if you go to hell aren't you essentially wsentenced to eternal suffering?
What kind of God would do this? Why would people be pusnished in such a way for not accepting something that has no proof?
I have absolutely no problem with people having faith, but WHY would people who think that there are other possibilities be given such a fate? There are so many other religions, and science, out there, what is so special about Christianity that God sees it fit to punish all those that don't just happen to choose the right belief?
If this is a way of any God, I'd rather suffer than praise it.
Any answers? (Not trying to be rude to anyone, just looking for an answer and hoping I'm mistaken)

"You want a short answer 4 a long question ?? Read the Bible 4 yourself and slowly with time U will B able 2 answer yourself !! "
Do you want a quite long solution to your spelling and grammar problems? Read the dictionary! Since you obviously neglected school, this is one of your few options :-) Do this and you will be able to save yourself (from further ridicule)!!

"The same reason if you are drowning and someone throws you a life line and you choose not to grab it you will drown. "
Tell me, what is this life line? Is it all the other THOUSANDS of religions in this world? Or maybe it is science that has logic backing it. What makes Christianity so dominant over other religions? Why is it so special? Why should we be punished for not blindly accepting things when evidence points the other way?
You obviously didn't read the entire question. You are a waste of time...

"God told you to belive in him and you rejected it."
Huh? When did this happen? Please tell me :-)
"Even a christain like me sins. But,if we just confess the sins to Him and ask Him to forgive,He will forgive. "
You do know that there are usually spaces used after punctuation, right? Well anyway, that's a nice deal, just accept God, and I can do whatever I want so long as I confess and I can still get into heaven.
Don't you think that's space wasted on people who don't deserve it?

Well,Firstly,God will ask your friends or family to spread the gospel to you 1 way or another.though some don't get it.God told you to belive in him and you rejected it.Yes,Jesus is the only way.Either you belive him or no.Jesus himself said,I am the way the truth and the life,no ones comes to the Father except through me.Jesus is the only way.If you do not believe him,you will be "sentenced to ertanal punishment".God is merciful. If you just believe in Him,He will be able to forgive all your sins. You asked, why is God like that?Well, I can tell you, before this, man sin against God a lot of times.God forgive and forgive. But,if there sin no punishment is made, then what a God is He?Even a christain like me sins. But,if we just confess the sins to Him and ask Him to forgive,He will forgive. You may ask,why is the punishnent so hurtful.Well,I can tell you you choose not to believe over your own choice. So you can blame no one for that.Since you already know it,why do you not believe?Lord Jesus suffer for us even when He was perfect. Why can't you belive in Him?I urge you to go to a church and find listen to their sermon, open your heart, you will feel it very edifying.Do not say you would rather suffer than praise Lord, because when you go to hell, what will happen?you would not suffer in the fire just for a while. You will suffer forever.Forever.You know what is the feeling like? And what's more, the fire is even hotter than the fire on earth. Now,believe in God and gain your pass to go to heaven to be with God. God bless.

If you believe that God is supposed to be loving of everyone and that we have the ability to choose Him, no such thing as original sin and the effects of it, then you're absolutely correct, no one "deserves" Hell. I agree with your logic. Love simply becomes negotiation interpreted as love, God is only a telemarketer not worthy of worship.
Now if original sin does exist, and it does taint man to the point that he he has no ability look to God for salvation, then we have a different story. If God does not tolerate sin, and the smallest error on Adam's part could plunge all of mankind into Hell, then like it or not, everyone from Adam forward is guilty. No one deserves heaven, God does not love everyone (and shouldn't), we are all guilty as charged. And this puts a way different spin on who God is. Many are called, few are chosen -- BY GOD, who gives faith to His own that too many people see as having an ability to accept. This is simply a misguided reaction to what the Lord has already done. We call this predestination, which only makes sense if you look at it from this angle.
So yes, you are mistaken if you "accept" the alternative view that I've presented. It's called Calvinism.

In the Bible it says only through Jesus Christ can we be saved, and to answer the other part of your question... God is recruiting his army right now, He has given us all the will to chose for ourselves what will do with our lives, It also says in the Bible that all we hear of the Lord before His return... He is not punishing anyone if you don't chose you are punishing yourself, God does not want to replay what happened with Lucifer so that's why we have to choose, which mean that we would lay down our own lives to proclaim the name of the Lord.... He doesn't want unfaithful soldiers in his army... God loves EVERYONE!!! from every "religion" but in the end It's all about confessing the name of Jesus this is the only true religion... He Himself became flesh and then died a terrible torturous death to prove to us that He is real and that He loves us above all!!!! If this isn't proof enough Maybe you should pray that God Himself give you proof He wants no one to perish, He will prove to you that He is real and then it is your choice what you do with it....

I believe that this is heaven and hell right here on earth. There may be a God but who's to know. But what i don't get is that if God made the earth and then Adam and Eve where do the dinosaurs fit in if cave men were introduced a long time after?? Anyways i think that maybe there is no God and miracles happen because of our brain power is so strong we are able to do things without knowing. But that's my opinion.

I've never -- wait a second, I was "taught" to believe by an educational institution, but depending on the teacher you spoke to, you would hear different things. One believed whole heartedly in Adam and Eve being real, and the other side they were fictional, yet they both believed in God.
Heh.
My thought is that we all find "them" eventually.
I do not believe non-believers go to hell. I want to believe that sickos (rapists, murderers, etc), but I don't know that I believe that either, since I was also taught that God was forgiving of everything.
This is really something I still contemplate myself.

The punishment referred to as 'hell' is separation from God. We do not die it is only our physical body that dies, who we are, lives eternally. The Bible teaches us that beyond our physical world there are only two possible places to be, either we are in God's presence or we are not.
God cannot tolerate sin therefore he cannot tolerate us in his presence and because God is the source of love and hope if we are not with him after death then we will be in a place that is without love, hope or happiness for ever.
Remember the times when you felt so much pain and despair that you just wanted to die or drown your sorrows, that is what hell is like but you WILL NEVER recover, the terrible feeling that you can't cope with will never stop, you will want to die to end it but you can't because that is what death is and there is no escape.
The only way to avoid this punishment is to choose to take the only way out that God himself has provided. God said that if we accept His son Jesus in our life here, then our sins will be stripped away from us so that we can be in his presence when we die. If you ignore him you will spend eternity desperately miserable.

The proof is there please read it.
Passage John 21:24-25:
24This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
25Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Don't think you are rude asking that question ..... I had been asking that question myself for years. I had asked some Christians, if a person rape, murder, arson .... etc etc, however, this person is a believer of God, will he still go to heaven. They said, Technically he would. Then I asked if a person is a non believer of God, however, he is compassion, he does not hurt, he will go out of the way just to help a grandmother cross the street, will he go to heaven. They said, he would not, he will go to hell for not believing in God.
Then they are asking ..... Why am I not a Christian ;P.

We are all sinful by nature, and our punishment is eternal seperation from God.Jesus is the only one who can atone for our sins, and that is why we are able to go to heaven. It's not punishing those who believe differently, because those people who have rejected salvation are still sinners.
