Is it true that researchers in Alberta, Canada have found a cure for cancer?

I heard its called CDA and it kills cancer cells without harming normal cells. I had to put this out here, because i know there are people with loved ones that are dying of cancer and it sounds like there is hope for them now.

I watched it on the Glenn Beck news, i think hes on CNN.

If your facing death, why not try to live, and give it a shot. i would before its tested what do have i to lose.

Im not spreading any information, read my fricken question right. IS IT TRUE can you read?

Contrary to what many believe, there is no conspiracy to keep sick people from getting well.

There are all sorts of cures for cancer. The unfortunate reality, is that they are contrary to human life.

Just as an example - Maitake D fraction prevents angiogenesis (the process by which tumors create blood supplies by way of capillaries) in tissue samples, however, if given to actual living people in the doses we would have to give to have it actually do that, you would die of liver poisoning.

I am sorry, I have seen it hundreds of times, people getting hopeful about some "alternative therapy" (my office was shared by the alternative medicine center of the cancer center at a large hospital) - and the fact is, is that none of those therapies worked. Usually it was someone taking great advantage of desperate people.

I will say one thing though - that hope is a more powerful medicine than anything "medical science" proper can replicate so far.

Discuss it with a doctor. Many nutritional supplements will make cancer WORSE! not just in speeding up the cancer, but in hampering the effects of chemo, or making the side effects of radiation worse. Take as much biochemical and pharmocological information about this supplement as you can to the doctor, and discuss if it is a viable addition to a treatment regime.

Cancer is many disease so one treatment can cure all cancers.
Discovery Magazine 100 discoveries of 2006 talks about a trial that is going to start early 2007 on chemo that works on individuals instead of the hit and miss that is used now.
Nano technology will also be in the forefront on targeting.

Oh my the way there are many people living with cancer. A lot of cancer is treat able today ever though it isn't yet cure able and people live a very long time. That has been the biggest improvement in treatment in 20 yrs.

DCA (dichloroacetate) is already used in the treatment of rare metabolic diseases. In this application, it has already been reported to have serious toxic side-effects on humans. Researchers in Alberta have reported no toxic effect, but on mice.

It all depends on how much of this compound is needed to have an effect on cancer cells ; if it is more than the amount causing toxic effects to humans, then it is quite evident that it cannot be used !

Some more research is needed before this can be applied to cancer therapy. Don't be in so much of a hurry to take something that might damage your nervous system ...

Keep in mind, they cure cancer all the time (in mice and cell cultures). Extremely rarely is the technology transferable to humans. Humans metabolize drugs differently.

These DCA "questions" keep appearing over and over in this forum. I can only assume this is to disseminate misinformation.

You are also guilty of disinformation. Linus Pauling, while a brillant scientist with 2 Nobel Prizes, did NOT win for his work on Vitamin C. Vitamin C therapy has not proven to be effective in the treatment of any condition except perhaps scurvy (Vitamin C deficiency).

My suggestion is serious vitimin C. The RDA says 64 miligrams a day. Linus Pauling who got 2 nobel prizes for his work on vitimin C and organic chemestry said a minimum of 1000 mg a day and 2000 mg if you are sick. I had something, to this day the doctors have no idea what it was, but I was flat on my back for 2 weeks in usually Nov and again in Feb. I went on vit C when I got sick and after a couple of years I have never been sick again. During those times I was sick I took a varying amount daily and it followed a bell curve over the 2 weeks. I was up to 40,000 mg a day at one point, 300,000 mg over 2 weeks. It was a narrow range I had to maintain. If I took too much I got diarrea and if I took too little I was sick. In that range I was totally asymptomatic. You need to drink a lot of water because Vit C is a natural diarretic. Also, you doctor will say your kidneys will disolve or calcify, but drink the water and it SHOULD be fine. A couple of years ago the had a report out that said the best cancer-fighter was Interferon - at $15,000 a gram - but it also said that Interferon is a product of the natural breakdown of Vit C in your system. Shortly after that they tried to make Vit C by perscription only. Guess why. Good luck.

I hared the same thing tonight on the news. But from what they were saying , they are NOT going to put the dug out on the market. Something about it wont make any money, because it is not registered . So this means other drug companies can do not have to wait 2 to 3 years to make it , they can start to make it as soon as it hits the stores !!! I hope they find a way around this and get it out so people who need it can get it !!!

It's not available to the public and has not undergone any type of Clinical Trial to prove effectiveness in human beings.

This type of hype happens all the time, but this particular one seems to be fueled by the Internet . . . like a big rumor.

Never heard of CDA.Have you heard of Caisse Tea?Its all natural,been around for years,its cheap and its supposed to work.And the government doesnt want you to know about it.
