i am Cherokee, we lost so many of out traditions, due to the murder of our holy men, the forced christianization of the children, and through the dispersemant of our nation, but we are strong and we have rediscovered our connection to Mother Earth, and our people have a new sense of pride and loyalty to our way of life. if you stay strong and believe, anything is possible.

To pass on things to our next generations - even traditions - one needs the power of conviction and the power to influence. If you have both, there is no reason that these cannot be passed down to the next generation. But who has the passion and commitment to encapsulate the good of our generation and use his time and energy to influence the next generation ? Actually we spend too little time with our next generation. That is why they flow in whatever direction they desire and feel good about.
Best wishes,

Traditions do not change. We only imitate. Even today we follow ancient tradition and culture in our social set up.
