Global warming Save power
Global warming is happening so I wrote something for you all here. A few years ago I used to plug into the mains to do anything in the garden. However now I am using solar power only I have an article about it showing you how easy it is to set up a solar power system in your garden check it out if you have time, its a fun project for a weekend and you can do something to save the planet. Let me know your comments on this one. Did it work for you? How much do you think it can save in a year or so?
P.S. here is the URL for the article.

P.P.S. As everyone are interested in saving money, what do you think of this?

I guess it would depend on how much time you spend in the garden and garage. When outside the house I use devices like: Lawnmower, Hedge trimmer, Strimmer, Radio, Water pump for water feature, Garden lights, Greenhouse heater, Electric drill for DIY, Car battery charger etc.

These all use plenty of power so solar panel and battery bank would eventually pay for itself in 3-5 years. The financial side of things is of course secondary. We leave this planet for our children. And we all need to do our bit for the environment.

I think if everyone thought as you do there wouldn't be 'global warming'. We do as much as we can by switching off all electrics that are not being used but because we live in a listed building we have been told we can't have any solar panels either on the cottage or in the garden so what else can we do? We recycle almost everything including our bathwater (for the allotment). I'd like to do more so I will check out those sites you listed.

Looks like a good way to spend $1500 to save about $5 a year.
