I have windows media center 2005.... when i shutdown, it doesn't look like the XP shutdown...it looks like the old shutdown and it's really bothering me...can anyone help?

Off is off, what does it matter what is on the screen when you click the mouse? Do you, by any chance have XP set to show the classic look?
right click on desktop>>properties>>display properties>>appearance, select Windows Classic or Windows XP

I think it is windows XP, mine does a double take and sometimes doesn't shut down at all. I have to shut off the power.
There is a new Windows Vista coming out, maybe they are trying to get people to buy that.
