My girlfriend said that when our relationship progresses e.g. if she becomes my fiancé or my wife that she may hire a private investigator to check up on me. I told her that’s thinking like a stalker. She told me that she would also put me on Cheaters the reality TV show. Is she serious?

I have not cheated on her… so I don’t know why she said that about Cheaters the reality TV show.

She just feels insecure and afraid of you loosing your commitment to her.
It sounds like she doesn't really trust you so try to make her feel like she's the only person in your life, to the point of near obession.

She sounds very insecure and if anyone told me that they were going to get a private d on me i would leave them. There is obviously no trust and if she is going to pull that garbage i'd walk away. Tell her to grow up!

One of two things and probably both- first, she's probably trying to scare you straight. "Don't cheat on me cuz I'll catch you!" Two, she doesn't trust you for some reason. It's possible that she's serious if she has trust issues.

can't say if she's serious but you need to ask her why she would marry or get engaged to someone she apparently can't trust. ask her why she would find these things necessary
