I am homeschooled and according to law, I am in the 9th grade, but I am actually really far ahead. I want to go to college, but it is quite hard to get into college as a homeschooler. It would be easier if I went to high school. The downside is the typicallity, the cliques, etc. Well, what are your thoughts and opinions?

The downsides you give are minor compared to the benefit you would reap by going to high school. You sound like you have a briiliant mind, use it to your potential. And for the cliques, its only temporary and education is forever...........or until you die.

P,S. I read your answer for the Muslim question in religion section. Is this were you get "but according to the law"? Is this Sha'ria Law? Please tell me what you mean by "I use to be a Muslim?" Just curious, not here to debate.

I know what you're concerned about when you say there are cliques and all that. I don't think it's anything to worry about. At my high school, for example, there weren't even really "cliques." It was more like the poms girls, the athletic guys, and everyone else.
You know what I did? I joined a sport the first year -- tennis -- and I met 2 of my best friends there who I'm still best friends with now, years later, after high school. I definitely think you should go, it's a great experience, especially if you plan on going to college. You will be socially experienced and ready [besides the obvious academically ready] for college if you go to high school. Ask around, get people's opinions on the high schools in your area [and not just one opinion, try and get as many as you can] and when you pick one, join a group, sport, or a club! That's a great way to meet people and make friends from the start! Good luck hun.

High school is a good way for an individual to learn to socialize and to meet new people. The lessons you learn outside of the classroom when at high school are just as important cause it does help to prepare you for things once school is over - and you can miss a lot of that interaction when you are home schooled.

yes yes yes yes yes. I know it seems like a pain and a waste of time now, but if you don't finish high school, you WILL grow to regret it. You won't be able to get a decent job. Most jobs won't pay over minimum wage to people that don't have a diploma. PLEASE finish high school.
