While I was watching the Tv, it lost colour and allpictures became Black and white. After, two days, it lost all the pictures; now only a single bright line across the screen.

What has happend and is this repairable? is it expensive repair?

i am very sure something went wrong with your vertical circuit. In layman's term, it is a circuit that maintains the scanning of the picture across the screen vertically to produce images on the screen.
I also suspect that prior to the breakdown of this circuit, your chroma circuit malfunctioned. The chroma circuit produces and calibrates the red-blu-green guns on the picture tube to produce the desired colors on the screen.
At any rate, everything is repairable. However, the cost outweighs the benefit of makiing it "alive" again. If your set is at least 8 years old, do consider replacing with another TV of your choice. Refrain from buying a conventional TV. Rather, look for LCD or plasma depending on your budget. However, you may still want to go for slim-fit TV, that's a cheaper alternative to LCDs and plasmas.
I hope this heps.

You now have a frame collapse. The original fault leads me to suspect a power supply fault.

Depending on the age of the set it will be worth repairing it.

Look in your local area for an engineer that will give a free estimate with no call out charge. Many now do and they keep the prices down to get the work as so many people just say "Oh just get a new one". Not the best Eco-friendly solution.

How old is your television? It sound like an old tube model.
It would be cheaper to buy a new set, they're not that expensive anymore unless you want an LCD or plasma TV.

I've got a 27 inch stereo TV with 2 video inputs, DVD input, S-cable input and monitor and stereo outputs which I bought 3 years ago for $450 Canadian including delivery (just an example of how inexpensive they are)
