I've took it for like a week about a month ago, and it messed me up, it made everything feel like dreams and I felt horrible. Right now I'm going to sleep, but I'd like to know if anyone else have had problems or just want to say something about melatonin.

To respond to the person under me; they are completely safe for you, and most people are okay with taking them. I'm just like..i dont know it just ruins my conscience.

Well what do you expect? Taking hormones isn't really the best solution to your problems... These things are supposed to be regulated.

What were you taking it for? As a sleep aid?

You do know that it is used that way right? Using it during the day will cause severe drowsiness.

Produced In the Pineal Gland, I Suspect this is a Negative Feedback Loop, So Taking Melotonin Interferes With the Natural Regulation of This Hormone.

How old are you, and what is your natural level like in your blood? I ask because Melatonin is a naturally occurring substance that our body makes. You might be either to young for the supplementation, or there is something in what you are taking that you are reacting to. The OTC melatonin is a synthetic and you might be allergic to it in some way, as what you say would support that conclusion. As for myself, I use 6 milligrams, and it has no such affects on me. I sleep well, and soundly, as well as having an improved immune system. I have been taking it for Years.

I took it several years ago, and it gave me really vivid nightmares. My worst experience with it came when I took it to help me get to sleep before an interview where I needed to jump on a plane the next morning and interview shortly after I arrived.
For whatever reason, the melatonin had adverse effect, keeping me up all night!

Stupidly, I still jumped on the plane, and had the worst set of interviews in my life. I interviewed with seven people, and my last interview, the CEO of the company, started by saying, "I hear you're having some lousy interviews today."

I would jump off the melatonin. If you need help with sleep, I've heard the Ambien is great stuff.

How many times do you take melatonin? Are you sick due to lack of melatonin? Please don't do it more than 3 times a day! Its bad for your body if you have too much hormone. Like Hyperthyroidism; the person has too much thyroxine. And its like melatonin. So don't take too much of it even though its only has 1 mg.
