Cured from being gay? Dude that's just wierd, like "Take 2 asprin and you won't be gay any more". You can't be cured from being gay, but possible, what he means is that he will not partcipate in any homosexual activities anymore. That would be willpower more than any so-called cure.

No. He is saying what he needs to say to get what he wants. That is, back in the congregation, speaking his gods word. He's hypocritical to the max. These guys are just loosers who need to find an honest days work so they can respect themselves in the morning.
