Wondering how you qualify for a substance abuse program in a federal prison. Also I was wondering how long it akes for you to qualify. Can you get into a program as soon as you get there, or is there some kind of waiting period? Please help!!!!

I'll tell you what little I know on the subject. Keep in mind that I could be way off base. The key factor is that the judge of ADA handling your case has to recommend you for the program. Then thee is (as always!) a waiting list to get in to the program depending if the federal institution you or who ever is going to offers such a program. How long a wait? I would imagine several months unless you happen to be at the right place (no joke intended) at the right time.

Sorry, that's all I can recall on the subject.

I guess when you enter the institution they do an evaluation. Why stop there, how about getting a law degree, dental, cosmetic surgery, job training, investment strategy etc. why not the tax payer are paying your way, might as well keep robbing and stealing.
