I have had dish for almost 10 years. I beats my local cable company by a country mile. I have had occasional problems with reception (really, really bad weather, make sure you signal strength is above 110). Customer service is generally good and if you have any technical sense, most problems can be resolved by simply resetting the box and running a few tests. Depending on your tv needs, if could be the right fit. (I got it for the general value over cable and for the international channels) The HD programming is also good.

I had dish for over 1 year and also i have former aldphia cable.
at the same time without digital box. The picture looks so good on dish that i cant even discrible. I think i had more lost or bad signal with cable then dish. I would go back to dish but i rent out my rooms and cant have every room with a dish box. And i dont want to pay over 150 each month on cable and dish. so i upgrade the to digital box on cable that is now by time warner. If you have a new HD tv that has a built digital tuner and you watch alot of reg. tv as in nbc abc cbs then just get a $15 hd antanna and it would be the same as a digital cable.

Dish is nice. The only problem is when snow or whatever gets on the dish. If the have the dish in the right place, you won't have to go on the roof. My apartment complex does not allow the dish so I have cable. Comcast seems to be a rip off. Satellite has better prices. Are you as cute as you look in your picture? Did you know that you have a few admirers on this site? Are you married? Have you ever thought about having your own site just for dirty old ladies like me? Hubba-hubba.

I've heard a lot of complaints about pricing discrepencies (not living up to contract prices mostly, hidden charges) and bad customer support. I am not a big fan of ANY satellite provider.

I like it. I think buying online is also the way to go, btw.

I've left one of the stores in the sources.
