Rape is not about sex...it is about power. Men that rape have serious mental problems and need help.

You're right, it is a very serious question. Rape is a crime of violence and control, it has nothing to do with "liking" a person or attraction in a loving sexual way. Women often don't report a rape because they are afraid of the stigma. We still live in a society where people ask "what she did to deserve it?", "did she tease the guy?", "just stop short?". When you report a rape, you are put on display in a way that is sometimes, in some ways, more intrusive and demeaning than the rape. They do a rape kit at the hospital, they photograph your body and ask very embarrassing questions. When/if the person is caught, you have to endure hearings/trials, reliving the experience over and over again and sometimes only for the person, that you know is guilty to slip through the cracks of the system and slide back into their hole until it happens again. Rape is very serious. Just remember, men can and have been raped. They report it even fewer times than women do and I am certain it is not because they liked it.

Most women are raped by people they know and very often by friends, boyfriends, husbands, and family members. Alcohol is also a factor is at least half of all rapes. All this makes women not only ashamed but gives them little faith in law enforcement to believe them because there is still a strong belief in the "stranger in the bushes" kind of rapist, which account for less than 5%. There is still the idea out there that a woman can "ask for" rape by her dress or demeanor as well and this is still considered a valid approach from the courts and police in many places.

Hello,
There are so many reasons why one does what they do. Only they know the real reason.
Some is the thrill, some in haste, some in Mental disorder,
All kinds of reasons!
But as for women not all reporting rape, well as a women I can list some reasons:
She may be to ashamed, scared to tell other mate or loved ones in fear of rejected. Maybe culture, maybe she has such low self esteem herself that she may feel it is her fault for whatever reason.
Or in shock, why me, why lord, why.
But do they secretly like the fact that someone likes them so much they'd do anything to get with them?
Meaning : So help me I'll rape you.
or
So rape me and I'll help you!!!!
I seriously doubt that one!!

People commit this crime for one thing : Lustful pleasure. Even if they have a boy/girlfriend, they can't always have sex with them you know. That's why they do it to other people. Rape victims can report this but they're too scared. Sometimes they could always remember it. Look at this this way, what if you're the rape victim. Of course its terrible. Who would say its awesome? Also, rape victim's confidence/self-esteem lowers after this incident. I've heard many stories about this situation. Many people are perverted/lustful. Some can't have enough of it being shared so they did the action: Rape. The proof of this is in many ways (I won't mention it).

I think the main reasons why people that are raped don't report it is because it really messes with a person's emotions. They don't want to admit that it happened and they are scared of what might happen to them if they do report it.

Men are sick in their heads, and the women are scared or ashamed because at some point some idiot or another has made it sound like being raped is somehow their fault. Why do you ask?

No, women do not secretly like the fact that someone likes them that much, because rapists do not actually "like" the victim. It is equivalent to being complimented if someone put a gun to your head because they chose you to hurt.

A 'rapest' would say something to that effect [to himself,] -that women-girls "like it because a guy would do such a drastic thing to be with them"... i doubt that ANY woman ever 'thought' that , tho, at the time she was being subdued and humiliated by a rapest.
Rape isnt sexual, its violence, expressed sexually.
i'm wondering ... why do ya ask?... more spcifically, why do ya ask in that way?

It's a control issue. They need to be in control and, this is the only way they feel they can gain some power back in their lives. Or they just like inflicting pain and suffering on people. Some blame it on "my mommy didn't hug me enough" Which is just a cop out.
