you believe the bible?.....why?

I think we should start with who they are. Jesus is His [God's] son and Him at the same time in the trinity along with the Holy Spirit, all in one being. This one being is all together as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is different than how we are all sons of God because we are not one being with Him. Jesus is also the path that leads us into believers. In that form of the Son [Jesus in the trinity] He has shared God's word. Maybe you should ask a pastor or somebody that can explain it to you better instead of here because the answer of many people here are opinions and the facts come from those that preach the word. Hopefully I helped though, Im glad you are interested in this topic.

The bible nowhere calls everyone sons of God.
The old testament the Jews were suppose to be if they followed God's Law.
New Testament anyone who accepts Jesus' blood shed for their sins and ask Jesus to forgive them.Read Romans (10).

I am not a bible expert, but to my knowledge, the bible says we are all made in the image of God. We are expressions of God's creativity, love, etc. Jesus is the "son of God", but he is also the second part of the Trinity, so in a way, he is God. It's a little more complicated than I can explain here.

By the way, your answers will vary widely between fundamentalist Christians and liberal Christians, and between different Christian religions.

Excellent question!

What is so special about Jesus is that he knew it - truly knew it - down to his core that we are children of God. He understood his own divinity (and yours and yours and yours) and his own role in life. We are all divine, beloved Children of the Universe with the power to shape and guide our own lives. Too many of us have kind of had that beaten out of us - particularly by folks who will say that we are all terrible sinners who caused such a wonderful soul like Jesus to die to terribly, merely by existing. Ironic or very political - I can't decide which sometimes.

Peace!

PS - No, he was the human part of the Trinity. The Trinity is meant to represent God, our own Spirit or Soul and our own Humanity - the crucial combination for this existence.

PPS - You know, those who want to say God made Mary pregnant - Don't you also believe that God makes every woman pregnant? That without God's will there are no births? Doesn't that make us all kind of the same? I mean, no person crafted a baby - that is always done mysteriously.

Nowhere in the bible does it say WE are the sons of God nor the children of God.

The reference to the 'sons of God' talked about the children of Noah but their off springs with 'the daughters of man' were no longer 'sons of God'

Please read the context in passage below.

All other references to sons of children of God were made, started or coined later on by ordinary people on earth.

In Genesis 6.1:
When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

The Bible doesn't say we're the Son's of God, those were someone else. We are the creation of God in his Image but made partially from the Earth, which was created by God.

Jesus is part God directly and part human. The son of God on Earth.

The children made by the sons of God and Earth woman would be God's grandchildren.

Jesus is the only begotten son of God. He was born of a virgin and was conceived by the overshadowing of Mary by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was not born in sin as we are.

The Bible does not say we are all sons of God. But there can be many sons of God but Jesus was not a son of God but the only begotten Son of God, Jesus was in the begining with God and was God and is God.

Jesus is special because he wasn't concieved by man but by the spirit of God. We as humans were concieved by man and woman and though we are children of God we will never be Jesus. He was sent by God to save the world from our sins and I praise him .

2:87] We gave Moses the scripture, and subsequent to him we sent other messengers, and we gave Jesus, son of Mary, profound miracles and supported him with the Holy Spirit. Is it not a fact that every time a messenger went to you with anything you disliked, your ego caused you to be arrogant? Some of them you rejected, and some of them you killed.

[2:116] They said, "GOD has begotten a son!" Be He glorified; never! To Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth; all are subservient to Him.

[2:136] Say, "We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and all the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters."

2:253] These messengers; we blessed some of them more than others. For example, GOD spoke to one, and we raised some of them to higher ranks. And we gave Jesus, son of Mary, profound miracles and supported him with the Holy Spirit. Had GOD willed, their followers would not have fought with each other, after the clear proofs had come to them. Instead, they disputed among themselves; some of them believed, and some disbelieved. Had GOD willed, they would not have fought. Everything is in accordance with GOD's will.
