If I processed my return on feb 1st 2007 and they were accepted by the IRS on Feb 2nd 2007...will I receive my refund via direct deposit on friday feb 9th 2007..
I recall last year doing the same, around the same dates..and though I kept track of the "irs deposit schedule" I got my refund a week sooner than it stated I would have...Is it still possible for this to happen??
and if you also e-filed and opted for direct deposit, how long did it take for you to receive your refund??

If you are not in collection with certain agencies, and do not have issues with the IRS from last year, the IRS will send your refund to your bank for direct depost 8-15 days from the day of acceptance.

The funds may be delayed reaching your account by 1-2 business days due to your bank's processing schedule.

If your return was accepted on Feb 2nd, then funds should be sent to your bank on Feb 16th.

Here is a chart from www.irs.gov

I don't think you will get your refund until Feb 16th. I efiled on Feb 1st as well and was hoping to get my refund by Feb 9th, but so far it is not showing that...it is saying Feb 20. When they update the system on Monday night, I'm sure it will reflect the direct deposit date of Feb 16th like the chart says. I remember last year that we got our refund back in 6 days so I agree with you there, but this year is different and it's taking longer...sorry!

Good luck! There has been MAJOR problems with refunds this year. I filed and it was accepted 1/17. No deposit as of yet. They are giving me a reference code of 1121. Now I go on the IRS site and it states they have no record of my return and code 8002. No clue. God only knows when they will deposit my return. Good luck to you!!
