recyling is suppose to help the enviroment so why dont pepole recycle more ?

and what do you to help the eniviroment etc ? below are some thing i do , i save all my aluminum cans , i place my recyclables items in a recycyling bin , i only put waste that cant be recycled or used for compost in the trash bin as for yard shavings and some kitchen scraps they all get placed in a hole in my back yard as a composte pile , the kitchen waiste is things like egg shells , coffee grounds things that wont attract flies

I've been recycling stuff for decades, but it takes time and effort, and getting the goods to a recycling station costs money. For most people, time is in short supply, and they have things to do which they consider to be more important.

Except for a few metals that are slightly valuable recycling wastes more money than it saves but is so politically entrenched that local governments are afraid to get rid of it. More to the point, many people are too lazy, malicious or stupid to do what purports to be a good thing.

People don't recycle for the same reason they don't work out, eat right, or try hard in school....Laziness

If something takes time and effort but does not pay a salary, not many people will do it regularly.

I am aware of the recycling program but it would be useless here in our community to practice it since we do not have the manpower to impliment them. Even our garbage will be collected in a monthly basis. So I just put all our garbage in one plastic bag and wait for the Garbage Truck to collect them. Segragations are done in their dump site by scavengers.

worms like coffee grounds, egg shells ok too. let those dry then crack and spread.
