why do you care or look down on people who don't belive in your ways? does god, tell you that you should try to ridicule people or change people? i have no clue what the bible says, because i have never read it .
why can't you focus all your engery into yourself, maybe you can actually achieve true happiness, you know that warm feeling in your heart.
i don't go to church but i am not an athesist BUT i am into zen and ki (inner spirit, so on and so forth) that makes me a bad person in your view. why? i am pretty happy most of the time, i have alot going for me, especially with my career and acdemica. i try to make the right choices, and i am a descent person. so why is thing wrong in your perspective?

Look down on people? No.. Care for and about people? Yes.. If a person has information that may help another, if a person has good news to share, what's wrong with telling others about it? If their intention is to help, is that a bad thing? Maybe if you read the Bible you'd have a better understanding of where the Christian is coming from and why. It's sort of hard to degrade and question something, it's sort of hard to question the rules, when the rule book-- instruction book, was never read. .Consider this. The power goes out, the house is completely dark. I have the only flashlight. Should I share it with others? Sure I should. The light will help them find their way around the house. Christians want to share their faith with others to help them. You aren't doing any thing wrong..Great. Are you helping others at the same time? To put faith in anything other than the true God is like having no faith at all. Faith in something other than God will not pardon your sins and offer you eternal life,

A Christian doesn't want to see someone on the wrong path in life . Jesus said I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.
He didn't say He was A way, but THE WAY. He is the Son of God. Read JOHN 3:16 please.
The Bible doesn't say to ridicule people at all. But if they care about you they will often want to explain the right way to live according to God's Word.
There are MANY FALSE teachings in this world and we have to be careful. If anyone has Readers Digest for Feb. 2007, READ the short story about the man who was 'searching' and became a Muslim. He REALLY REGRETTED IT. The Muslims are also converting many people who are in Prisons and Jails.
Decisions we make about what we believe or who we listen to can change our lives for good or bad and also effect where we will spend Eternity.
If you saw a young child stepping off the curb to get in the street, wouldn't you want to stop him before he was killed or injured? Thats the way many Christians are.........they are only trying to help and care. I'm so glad you are not an Athiest.
God doesn't want us to just keep what He has done to ourself or be self centered. We are to care for others and try to show the truth of God's word to them.
We will all have periods of good times in life and also trials. Your career could end with a job loss or our health can change, will zen help then? Is their religion based on Buddah??
I hope you will seek the truth. Pray for God to reveal the truth and give you discernment. Sincerely...........:)

Angrybull I will be happy to answer your question because I'm a christian and I am concerned about yuor soul and other people souls to. I don't look down on people that don't believe in my ways I just pray for them. God don't tell me to change anyone because i don't have any power to do that , but he did tell me to warn them(ezekiel 3:18). Do me a favor and pick up a bible(Old King James) and try reading it and ask God to give you better understanding of his word.
As of now I'm am happy, but I will be even happier to so others saved, sanctified and filled with God's precious Holy ghost. I'm sorry angrybull but I don't know anything about zen and ki. I can tell you one thing though and that is that it is more to career, trying to make the right choices and so on. Your soul should ome first because you only have one soul and your soul will have to spend eternity some where. There is only 2 choices and that is heaven and hell.Remember this God loves you, but he hate sin. He love you so much that he gave his only begotten son to die for your/our sins(St. John 3:16). You must choose whom you will serve(Joshua 24:15). You must be born agin(St. John3:3-7)
God bless you angry bull

Depends on the religion. Christianity has a directive to go forth and spread the gospel (the good news, translated)
Islam has various laws concerning the conversion and tolerance of infidels (non believers)
most people of religion do so out of a sense that they are showing you the way to be saved from great harm.
But mostly its because we are all busy bodies

Who is telling you that I am looking down on you? Who is telling you that I want to change you or ridicule you?
I hope you read the Bible some day, but what becomes of you is between you and God and no one else.
Sounds like your satisfied with yourself. Why concern yourself with what others think?

We want to give everyone a chance to hear the word of God. For example, China. Some people in China have never heard of Christiananity. We want them to have the opportunity to hear God's word, and just doesn't seem fair for us to keep it to ourselves. God said to spread his word, and that's what we are gonna do.

I doubt that this is limited only to religious people. People in general, tend to get into each other's business...it's just that the ones that annoy us the most that catch our attention.
