there are three female cannibals and with them, their 3 kids. We'll call them Cannibal A,kid A; cannibal B, kid B; cannibal C, kid C. They' re tryna cross a river but their boat can only take 2 at a time. Mothers cannot eat their own kid but they'll feast on another's kid, if she wasn't present. How will they get across the river? I'll post the answer after a couple of days. Good for people who like to analyze stuff.. remember, the boat can only fit 2 people at a time and if a mother leaves her child, the other mothers will eat him. Also, the kids aren't cannibals yet so they can't try to eat one another......well, goodluck

Kid A & Kid B went across. Kid B came back alone, fetch Kid C across. Then Kid B came back again. Cannibal A & C cross over leaving Cannibal B & Kid B together. The Kid C came back to fetch Kid B across. As soon as Kid C alight at the other side, Kid B immediately came back to fetch Cannibal B across.
Yes?

Tie a rope to the boat. Send each mom & kid across together then pull the boat back with the rope for the next pair.
Seriously, here's my graphic solution:
1) Aa Bb Cc ~ : ab>
2) A B Cc ~ ab :
3) Aa B Cc ~ b : ac>
4) B A C ~ abc :
4) Bb A C ~ ac : AC>
5) Bb ~ Aa Cc :
6) Bb Cc ~ Aa : BC>
7) bc ~ Aa B C :
8) abc ~ A B C : bc>
9) a ~ A Bb Cc :
10) ca ~ A Bb C : ca>
11) ~ Aa Bb Cc
Whew!
It's a bit like Gurdjieff's goat, wolf and cabbage puzzle. Same scenario, one boat that only holds two, all must cross (plus their human owners). Goat will eat cabbage, wolf will eat goat if left alone.

Cannibals are Aa, Bb, Cc
1st trip: Aa , A comes back
2nd trip: bc, a comes back
3rd trip:BC, Bb come back
4th trip: AB, c comes back
This leaves abc on one bank and ABC on the other. The kids can then go over in another two trips :ab, with a returning and finally ac going over.

ok so kid a and b go over. then kid A comes back and takes kid C over. Kid C comes back , and mother a and b get in the boat, leaving Kid C and mother C on the first side. Mother A and B get out at the far bank, and kid b then picks up mother c, who returns to pick up her child.
