We live in a slouchy society, with an attitude of selfishness, that doesn't care about themselves or what others think as far as being proper.

The way you described someone as being dressed, hmm, how do you know it was semen on their t-shirt. LOL. Some people I would have to say simply do not have any style. Some just do not know any better. However, I would surely hope, no one would show up at an opera, a musical, the theater or anywhere else dressed in this manner. However, I do find jeans torn or not, sweatshirts, t-shirts to be very comfortable. Minus the semen stain of course. Maybe this is the best they could do and really wanted to enjoy the opera, why does it bother you so much what other people are wearing? As long as you are not dressed in such a half hazard manner. Let it go. Deep cleansing breaths. God bless****

You shouldn't be so quick to jump to the conclusion that the people had no class. Maybe the people didn't have any money and couldn't afford good clothing. They should be allowed to experience art, too, no matter what they are wearing. If this is the case, the cost of the ticket for them was a stretch. However, if they could afford good clothing, they should have worn it.

welcome to pop culture. i would think wearing cloying perfume or stacking your hair so big people behind you couldn't see would be much lower on the etiquette scale and either i am lucky and get surrounded by people like this all the time or there are a lot of people out there that don't really think about others when they get ready to go out.
