I found it in the middle of the road so I brought it home.
I don't know what to do with it. It doesn't seem right to just throw it in the trash and I live in an apartment so I can't exactly bury it in my backyard.

What should I do with it?

Hello, You are a kind person for doing that. I would put him in a bag or box. If it is cold outside put him somewhere where animals can not get him. If it is not or you can not put him in your freezer. I know this may sound crazy but that is what they do at hospitals/funeral homes.
In the morning I would take the kitty to the humane society. There may be a chip under the kitty's skin identifying the kitty so that his owner can be notified. Some police stations also can scan for the chip. If you do not have these places to go keep him frozen until you can bury. You could post a note up in stores saying you have a lost kitty and describe it. As a cat owner I would want to know if my kitty is dead or alive. Good Luck and God bless you and the kitty.

Sincerely,
Angelique

um, First off, does it have any tags on it? Secondly, it may be microchipped, or tattoed in which it has an owner whom may be missing it dearly, and not know of the horrible tragedy that their cat has experienced. I would take it to the local vet and ask if the can scan for a microchip, then maybe they can dispose of it properly. Otherwise (if your grossed out, don't be offended) it would have been ok, and very natural to move it out of the middle of the road, and let nature take its course, by providing a food source for other animals. Lots of other people do this. And you did a very good thing by picking that cat up out of the road...you saved it from getting so beat up by cars and who knows what that maybe someone can identify it later on if you decide to try the vet. Hope I could help.

Wrap it up in a tea towel, put it in a plastic bag, and put it in the freezer. Then when you have time off, take it out to the country and give it a nice burial. I'm not being scarcastic, it's what I would do. You don't need to thaw it out first, you can even keep it on ice in a cooler in your car until you bury it.

Take it somewhere and bury it. Is this a real question or are you trying to get a bunch of people to tell you to eat it and stupid crap like that?

You shoulda left it where it was. Find a spot to bury it, maybe by the road where you found it.

Notify your local animal regulation and mention you found it dead and they should bury it for free since you arent the owner and where just trying to do the right thing.

Bury your kitty somewhere near your apartment,or bury it at your parents house if they live close to you.But don't listen to those people telling you all that crap about eating it.Then you should get a new cat and keep it indoors only.

Sorry about your cat.
Hoped this helped you.

call animal control.
You can also contact a local vet that may euthanize pets and ask them what to do. Maybe they will have somewhere for you to drop the cat off at.

I do not think that there will be a better answer to this question than the one that was posted by Angelique!

You should contact Animal Control and see if they will take care of it. It could have been sick so make sure you wash your hands really well.
