how long would it take to drive from downtown l.a to sta monica pier?

im visiting L.a in dec for honeymoon, got any tips? how's sta monica beach or venice in dec?

15 to 20 minutes without traffic just take the 10 west

You can go to www.westland.net/beachcam/ and get a good 24/7 live webcam of the Venice beach front park. Santa Monica is just north of there....so that will tell you exactly up to the minute what the weather is like. We're spoiled out here we think it's too cold for swimming in December, but you might jump in...I think it will take longer than 20 minutes to get out there from downtown L.A., besides you've got to find parking..
