This FTC article which points out various scams
and red flags in ads for work at home jobs: " Work-at-Home Schemes":

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/invest/homewrk.htm

That article also advises you on which questions to ask a prospective telecommuter employer, and where you can take your complaint if you feel you've been had.

The only jobs you can do at home -- that I found -- are either
computer-related (and your computer skills do seem very strong!) and home-based customer service representative or home-based call center representative. Unless you want to start up a business of some sort, you're limited to jobs that primarily involve computer/Internet or phone work.

There is a website that post daily telecommute jobs. The jobs where you must send them a resume and interview for them.

Many of them are sales or web programming jobs, but there are some for data entry and clerical type work.

The link is in the source.

Ebay might be too hard. Off the top of my head, there's 2 relatively safe ventures you can do from the home that are relatively easy.

1.) Mailing stuff for businesses. Packing envelopes, and mailing them.

But I recommend,

2.) Taking phone calls from home from people ordering stuff off of info commercials. All you do is make a schedule of when you want to be on-call, and sit around at home, and when you get a phone call for an order, you place their order on the internet. Easy.

My cousin does the info-commercial thing as well as work a full-time job. She says, she's up to about $15.00 an hour now, doing just that.

I suggest getting into somethi legitimate. But you'll have to take classes (most can be done online) in order to get a certificate. You can take online classes in medical transcription and when you get your certificate you can go to the doctor and dental offices in your area and see if they "outsource" their transcription needs (a large portion of doctors do, because it saves on hiring the staff and having facilities for that staff made available) Selling and marketing online is ok...but most are "get rich schemes". Selling via Ebay is not what it's cracked up to be and there have been problems with some of the stuff sold, being not what origiinally was advertised and being of poor quality.

Try selling stuff on Ebay. You can make some good profit there. You just pay the postage and you have to pay like 10 cents to put a pic of your item up but if you find the right things...you can deffinatly make a profit
