Use boiling water, and leave it to stand overnight in a sealed bottle. When You open it the gasses withh escape.

If you are using city water, there is probably no reason to purify it as it has to meet very strict tests by the state and federal government.
If you are using water from a lake or well or someother source to you water, then you could go to an army surplus store or for a little more a camping supply store and get purification tablets. Those who suggest boiling are giving good advice.

Run it through your kidneys first.I purify all my liquid intake this way and it always comes out as Pure Pee.

it depends on what you are trying to remove.
Boiling will kill bacteria , pouring it though a coffee filter paper will remove a lot of sediment and solid impurities.

Boil it, let it cool, then put in a container of your choice. Place in freezer or refrigerator.
