Faith in their religion, that's why they preach it.

Religion, of whatever variety, is a fascinating subject. An insight into the human psyche which is enjoyable to debate.
While I have fixed views, being an atheist of many years standing, I am always interested in others' ideas and particularly in taking the time to suggest to all the freaks out there that they are living in a fantasy world. I hope to educate those who are evidently in need.
God IS imaginary and nothing more.
It is your responsibility to prove your claim and not mine to disprove it. You have no chance of doing so but it is entertaining to read the usual feeble responses.
IF you have an open mind and are interested in REALLY taking note of someone else's view, try www.godisimaginary.com and see if you can deal with it.
Good luck.
That's why we atheists are here - for you. We are more 'here for you' than an imaginary paranormal idea ever will be.

Because maybe, just maybe some dangerously religious person will look critically at their religion after they see how easy it is to shoot it full of holes. Just maybe they will see the voices for what they are and realise it is not some god telling them to do the bad things and they will go get mental help.

It is my purpose here to attempt to impart wisdom. One such wisdom is to disabuse people of the notion of the existince of god, so that they learn to think properly and can spend their resources on something which is actually useful.

Simply put, it makes them feel better. Seeing statements printed in some form gives the human mind a certain validation of whatever beliefs that mind does posses.
