It is painful.
Do you realize that for every 1 person born, there are 7 puppies and kittens
born? At best, 1 will find a forever home.
And don't forget, that every "Free-to-good-home" litter takes homes away
from animals already at the shelter.

STOP letting your pets; or your friends, relatives or co-workers pets
contribute to the problem.
If you love animals, it is NOT ENOUGH to merely say "My pets are fixed".
Vow to educate and enable others to fix their pets too.
Spaying just 1 female dog or cat, will prevent 6 others from ending up in a
shelter the following year.
Please be part of the solution, NOT the problem!
Thank you. ^..^

Well, you get three kinds of noise. First, you have the female cat moaning her head off trying to attract every male cat from miles around. Secondaly, you have the male cats trying to wake the dead (and then fight) to frighten each other into submission. This determines who gets the right to mate. Depending on how many male cats are at the scene, it could drive you nuts. Finally, the cat's penis is barbed. During mating, and especially as the male is attempting to dismount the female, the female feels pain and wails or makes that crazy sound we associate with mating cats. This is what 'a noisy affair' really means..

The male cat's penis has a barb on it that causes the female a bit of pain when he withdraws. This is neccessary to get her to ovulate. Subsequently, she will scream and try to scratch him at the end of the mating.

The information about the barbs on the male's penis is correct, however don't you make noise when you mate?

because the male cats penis has little bumpy things that when inserted into the female's "cuchy" causes a lot of pain. When the female gets hurt she turns back and beats the crap out of the male. But he doesn't care because he's exited, so he further persues intercourse until they F%#* the crap out of each other.

Because male cats have barbs on their penises (similar to the barbs on their tongues) that point backward like fishhooks, tearing the female cat's vaginal wall during intercourse. The tearing stimulates her to ovulate. I'd scream too.

Cuchy??? What, are we 12 and can't say vagina?
