"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female he created them." Genesis 1:27
This implies to me that men AND women are created in His image. Since God is the ultimate being in the universe, I'm sure He doesn't lack what we consider nurturing "feminine" qualities such as love, kindness, etc. In addition, I don't think He is limited to one gender. He is more than we can imagine.
On the other hand, God is called "He" in the Bible, and Jesus came to Earth as a man; so it's probably best to just think of Him as a man (but not as a flawed human man). More often than not, He exhibits what we consider more powerful "male" qualities.

How difficult is it to understand this ...
There is no such thing as god. It is an imaginary concept. All in your mind and probably planted there when you were an impressionable child and perpetuated by your chosen lifestyle.
Most of us wake up to these facts at about the age of 12 to 15. Are you there yet?

The Bible states God as "He" so as a Christian that is what I believe. Since your "question" was really a statement I leave you with an answer that is a queston. What difference does it really make to you?

Jesus is God incarnate or else he was a madman, or a liar. He was not mad or a liar. Jesus called God the Father. Fathers are male, mothers are female. In fact they're both male, one is just male with "fe" in front, or man with "wo" in front.

God refers to himself in the masculin... but that he is not bound by mortal human standards is a fact... God can indeed make himself appear in any way He chooses.... He has chosen to interact in a masculin body, That of Jesus... there is no record of Him takeing female form.... He refers to himself in his speaking as The father...
