If a kitten is not weaned by its mother to eat mice as food they usually won't see them as such when they are adults. That is the cat's natural food and supplies them with a completely nutritional diet. They will still hunt, kill and may partially consume the mice. The problem nowadays is that many people put out poison for mice and a cat who eats one can get a secondary poisoning and die from eating one.

Parasites are probably your only concern if your cat actually ingests a mouse. Otherwise, fresh food, (mouse, bird, gopher, rabbit, etc.) are it's normal prey, especially if it were an outdoor cat.

They actually learn to kill from their mother. If they are taken from their mother before she teaches them, the cat will probably not kill, just play with the mouse.

Um..it's a cat. Eating mice is what they do. Be happy it's not dropping the mouse in your bed as a present.

Cats are actually known for eating mice and other small animals.
That is why my cat is fat even though I don't feed her a lot.
She's a predator, just like a panther.

Yes, it is natural. No, it is not healthy. Mice can carry diseases and parasites and depending on where she gets it from, could have injested poison. She will probably be fine if she eats them but I wouldn't encourage the behavior.

It's ACTUALLY in that wild part of their nature which just can't be tamed. I would have taken it away from her.
