I know i am on the right path. i now know that God is real.
I preformed a dedication ceremony (and almost died trying to finish it) and it was. . . . . life changing to say the least.
the very moment i finished saying the dedication 'chant' (i guess is a good way of saying it) i felt like my mind was swimming in my head, literally i could feel it moving, and the floor beneath me felt like it was throbing like a heart beating in the wood.
then after it calmed i felt at peace with everything, and i began reading again.
i could physically "feel" the Goddess and God withen me and all around me. and i feel like a wiccan now more then ever before.
I guess what my question really is "was your dedication, anything like mine was?" and "was you conversion, as life changing as mine?"

I feel that pretty often, that feeling of standing out from the woodwork and looking in, floating, ecstatic, filled with a Presence that I can't even begin to describe. Spiritual chanting does help you reach those states of spiritual bliss, whatever it is you are chanting. It is an amazing feeling.

Congratulations on your self-dedication. :-) It sounds like you had a profound and powerful experience, and you describe it beautifully.
My conversion experience was a vision of the Goddess, 13 years ago. You haven't mentioned what your own conversion experience was, but I can certainly say that yes, mine changed my life.
My own self-dedication a year or so afterwards was, as I recall, a quieter affair. I felt a deep communion with the God and Goddess and the love and support of those who were with me on that day, and was certainly in a trance state, but I came nowhere near to losing consciousness.
I wish you the best of luck on your path. Blessed Be!

I did not go though any occult or initiatory ceremony. I have however swore an oath pledging myself to the Æsir and Vanir and to always act with honor and bravery. In my faith it is known as a profession.
Yes, you could say my conversion was life changing. I felt as if I was coming home.

Eh, I've never dedicated, unless you want to count the mass to my Self, but that's more of a ritual I'd like to do weekly [of course, libation oils, annointing oils, candles, red wine, and all those other goodies aren't free.].
Generally when doing [Shamanistic petitions, not any ceremony at least]spell work, it feels as if I've dropped control of my body, and let my "Guests" do what they want done.

no, I haven't had a life changing conversion - I was brought up in the christian faith, went to church and Sunday school each week, and have never wanted any other faith.
I know people who have traveled to the worst possible places on this earth, including Cambodia to rescue and work with drug and sex trafficked victims, in he name of the Lord, and do the best work...so I guess we all have our story to tell.

Oh man, my dedication was crappy. I'm a nervous person at times and I burned my leg on my fire candle. It was pretty sad. My first magick experience too (by myself that is).

I ate a bit of the mushroom. The mushroom spoke to me and said, "I am the lord, thy God! Worship me!"
I have dedicated my life to the mushroom ever since.
