Dont quote it out of context. Check out the context

[5:51] O you who believe, do not take certain Jews and Christians as allies; these are allies of one another. Those among you who ally themselves with these belong with them. GOD does not guide the transgressors.

[5:57] O you who believe, do not befriend those among the recipients of previous scripture who mock and ridicule your religion, nor shall you befriend the disbelievers. You shall reverence GOD, if you are really believers.

60:8] GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the equitable

Relations with other people are governed by the basic rule in 5:57 & 60:8-9. The Jews and Christians who cannot be friends are specifically mentioned in 5:57; they are the ones who mock and ridicule the believers, or attack them.

The Prophet told us to love all People of the Book (and others, as well). People of the Book applies to Jews and Christians because they follow the Torah and the Bible.

“We believe in God and what has been sent down to us; what was sent down to Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob, and the Tribes; what Moses and Jesus were given; and what all the Prophets were given by their Lord. We do not differentiate among any of them We are Muslims submitted to Him.” If their faith is the same as yours, then they are quided. But if they turn away, they are entrenched in hostility. God will be enough for you against them. He is the All-Hearing the All-Knowing. (Qur’an, 2:136-137)

They are not all the same. There is a community among the People of the Book who are upright. They recite God’s signs throughout the night’ and they prostrate. (Qur’an, 3:113)

They believe in God and the Last Day, enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and compete in doing good. They are among the righteous. (Qur’an, 3:114)

Honey, it's rather nice of you to single out an entire group of people like that. If you want to get into it, Christianity and Judiasm have similar tenents in their holy books too, but that doesn't mean they all take it all literally. From what I've really studied and been told about Islam, it is actually a beautiful religion, just like Christianity and Judaism. It's the followers who twist the words around and make them sick and evil.

The Militant and extreme strict followers are yes. As a christian I only hate those that would kill or attack us, over their religion. Do not forget that they hate Atheists more than Christians or Jews. And yes, like it not, right or not, I hate those that were responsible for 911. I am still human

I love how people take quotes out of holy books and have no idea what the context was behind that message. oh, and have you ever heard of a thing called "lost in translation"? please read and understand a book first before quoting nonsensical things from it.

Yeah, seems like hate to me thank God the words of Jesus were to love your enemies. The true God is a God of compassion who sacrificed himself for the ones he loves...which again proves their Allah is not our God and he says he is the same god..What would that make Allah?
