They are MYTHS. Don't bother with them. It's entertaining, but it's all a fallacy.

A lot of mythologies are relgious beliefs today, with changed names. So as far as the advantage you will be part of majority of the people thinking, the disadvantage it won't be the truth like relgious organizations that have the same beliefs as these mythologies.

If you can gather some more people who believe as you do, form a church, get tax exempt status and then contribute to it for tax deductions. Use the contributions to fund tax-advantaged parties.

There are interesting similarities between those mythologies and Christianity ....
Hercules ... son of the top God and a virgin
.... went to the land of the dead and came back
.... suffered temptations and perservered because of his strength of character
Romulus and Reamus .... sounds like Cain and Able .... very interesting!!!

Pros-you know exactly how your god of choice wants to be worshipped, and there are no groups currently trying to actively kill greco-roman worshippers.
Con-the greco-roman pantheon tends to be mercurial, you might get randomly smitten because Zues is cranky.

One definite advantage is have female goddesses to identify with. No man ruled religion here in the pagan world. But you have to find your own path- do what feels right to you.
