No, not really.

With a vocabulary of about 50,000 words, you need 4 alpha characters to cover all combinations.

26^4=456,976

Any less, and you can't cover every combination.

Look up "Lempel-Zev compression", the basis for generating Zip files, and which led to video compression techniques for more information about data compression.

Yes, I know that too read a word, you don't have too read every single word but only the first and last letters. Amazing, huh?

*the only problem with this observation is the incorrect use of the word TOO .... too is for too many, too much, too often
the word TO is the correct form.
p.s. how bout words like bob ?

The word needs to be longer than 3 letters, otherwise it doesn't work. The first and last letters need to be correct, but everything in the middle can be mixed up (as long as they're the right letters). Also, I noticed that "lion" and "loin" don't work.

you wrote you dont have to read every single word to understand the word but that dosn't make sence. You should have said that you dont have to read every single letter to understand the word.
