My dog has recently been seperated from his brother after being together for 4 years because they fight and it was becoming serious. He has been wimpering at the back door and acting very weird and depressed. We thought he might be lonely so we went to the pound and introduced him to a few younge female dogs. (he is desexed) But he acted very strange with the other dogs and even a bit mean. So we didnt get him a friend. He is a staffy X who has always loved playing with other dogs. What do you think is wrong?????? please help

Dogs are pack animals and happiest with other dogs to socialize with. Your dogs routine has changed greatly. I would continue to look into finding another dog for yours to bond with. From the sound of it you need to find a dog with a submissive personality.

Your dog is depressed...he misses his brother. Fighting or not, that was still his companion and friend. Dogs are routine animals and with his brother gone, his routine is out of whack.
