Bio Silk is like an oily substance that you use in very small amounts, like a dime to nickel size for your entire head.
A good product to use after you straighten your hair to keep it from being damaged is Nexxus "Heat Protexx".

Bio Silk is a type of oil for your hair that puts it back in good shape if it has been damaged from hair dye or heat while also making it softer and shinier. My hair stylist got me to use Bio Silk about two years ago and I have been using it ever since! It is also a good product to use on your hair after you straighten it or blow dry.

Aveda has some wonderful products that protect your hair from straighteners/blowdryers and such.. They use all natural products that won't leave that "producty" feel also. They have a product called "Brilliant Damage Control", use this spray as a pre-styling tool to protect your hair from the hazards of combing, heat styling, and sun damage. I use it and LOVE it.. my hair always looks so healthy... =)

Bio Silk is what we use at the funeral home to clean out the stomach and relax the muscles from the rigor.

from what i can tell it just makes your hair shinier, i dont feel like it makes my hair any smoother, or makes it healthier later.
